Summer Days

Now that summer is over, I want to share my favorite pictures from some of our little trips around San Antonio.  We visited farms, museums, the zoo, parks and went swimming a lot! Definitely a fun summer!

Quick Trips to Austin

My parents live less than two hours away, north of Austin, and we take quick trips to visit or meet up with friends about once a month.  I don't always take a lot of pictures when we visit, so here are some of my favorites from the last few trips. :)  Most of our trips, Cole loves to play with the train set, play frisbee with the dog and swim in the pool.  He has a blast every time.

Mimi's voices are pretty captivating.  And squeaky.

A quick trip to visit Morgan! We went to a free park in Round Rock and it was amazing!!

Cole playing "timber" with Pops when he decided to jump forward into the hot tub instead of falling backward into Pops' arms.  A good rescue by my dad! I was clearly worried and taking pictures. hahaha!

Happy Birthday Cole! Part Two

On Saturday, we celebrated Cole's birthday with family! My parents came in from Austin, my brother and SIL from Houston, and Tom's family all from Dallas.  Cole was in heaven with all his favorite people in one place.  We let him play with them for a bit, then went out eat at the delicious Aldaco's, and let the official festivities begin after nap time.

The balloons were the cheapest entertainment ever.  Cole and Grant were in heaven. The construction site cake was a last minute decision and team effort between me and Cole's aunts.  The best part was that Cole LOVED it and didn't get overwhelmed from the attention, unlike his first birthday. Jill made the amazing buttercream icing, and Jean helped with the detailed yellow icing. And G-Pegs brought the trucks! It was super easy and amazingly tasty. Cole loved his gifts too, although I know he was confused on moving on right away to open the next thing.  We've had a fun few days after to really sit and enjoy each one.

We are so thankful for everyone traveling to us!! It was so great to have everyone in our home and I know Cole loved every minute.
