Dr. Bob's 60th Birthday

Cole's Doc turned 60 years old this weekend! We went to Dallas to celebrate.  Cole did great on the flight, and enjoyed all the attention.  Cole's first MLB game was a success.  We stayed until the 9th inning! I am still in shock.  We had a great time!

Boys played golf.

Costco Fun.

Yes, Please.

Cole at 8 Months

Cole! 8 Months! Another fun month, filled with LOTS of adventures.  We went to Plano, Austin, and had DNOW in our home.  We are thankful for our flexible traveler. Here is Cole's 8th month, in pictures :)

Pacifier! Love that he can put it in himself now :)
Planks. Good for the core.

Cole loves to "clap"... really just bang things together.  He hasn't released the fists of fury yet.

Loves to destroy all things paper.

Curious Cole.  Always turning his head to the side.
On the move.  Goober can only go backwards and in a circle.

Everything goes straight to Cole's mouth. Including Puffs now, which have been so fun...and messy!

Still makes the best faces.  They never end. Cole is always shouting his bababa's and dadada's.  Can't wait to know what he is thinking one day.

Cole loves time with his dad and being outside.

Disciple Now 2013

This weekend, we opened our home to... 20 teenage girls! It was a bit overwhelming to think about, but so so so much fun and worth every bit of vacuuming up LOADS of stray hairs later.  (I do wonder how often the Duggars have to vacuum.  Eww.)

God showed up big in our humble home this weekend.  I love that our playroom was taken over by Vera Bradley bags and hair straighteners.  Our conversation went far into the am hours, and Cole slept (sorta) in our bedroom closet.  Sacrificial love at its finest.

I love being a part of God receiving glory in these girls' lives.  I love hearing how they are finding freedom in areas that have kept them captive.  I love praying with them and laughing with them until it hurts.  I love hearing them confess areas of struggle and hearing Scripture change their hearts. So thankful.

Easter and Austin

We traveled to Austin Easter weekend to spend time with my family.  It was so great to have a relaxing weekend and spend time with some of my favorite people! We played lots of hearts, ate too much red meat and spent a lot of time outside.  Perfection.

We came back to San Antonio for Easter.  Our church combined 2 services into one, outside (!!!) and we didn't want to miss it.  Major mom fail for Cole's first Easter.  We took zero family pictures.  But Easter is all about Jesus, so I will try again maybe on Mother's Day! I did attempt a photo shoot with Cole near our front door.  Also failed. hahahaa

Celebrating Jesus outside! Loved this service.

Trip to Plano

Well, get ready for back to back to back posts...and hopefully I will catch up for Cole's 8th month post...due in just over one day! yikes!

We went to Plano for a wedding the weekend before Easter.  We had lots of fun with Tom's family and survived Cole's first cold.  I have never seen so many goopy boogers in all my life.  Thank you Jesus for nasal aspirators.

We didn't let that slow us down! We had a great time and are actually headed back to Plano on Thursday to celebrate Bob's 60th birthday. Can't wait!
