Cole: 9 Months!

C. R. A. Z. Y.

These 9 months have flown by compared to the previous 9 months...!!! Madness!
Cole is so big.  His next check up is in a week, but I estimate 20+ lbs and super long.  Like his "da-da-da-da."

Our little man accomplished a lot this month.  He got his first teeth.  Two on the top! Looks like a little beaver. Two more are breaking through on the bottom.  It looks painful to me, but he is handling it pretty well.

Cole started saying "ma-ma," he loves to rub noses and play patty-cake, he is a rolling fool, especially in his crib, he LOVES the pool and all things water, has recently started walking with our help, and standing holding on to things! Cole also loves to fake read. He holds the book and whispers... it's hilarious.  His crawling skills are improving, but backwards and circles are all he can pull off right now.  :)

We also left Cole for the first time this month to go to Mexico.  He did great. I did okay.  Hahaha!! So much freedom in knowing that I am not the only one who can keep Cole alive.  Thank you Lord! We must vacation sans baby again soon!

Cole loves to stand.  And sit.  And he loves that finger!

We moved Cole's crib down to the middle setting.  He was getting a little toooo close to those owls.
First time in the little pool.  It was freezing.

First trip to the park!
Cole loves the bath!

It's so much cooler to not be trapped in the car seat.

Cole Henry, you are precious to us and a gift from the Lord!

First Official Mother's Day!

A holiday just for me?! Heck yes and much deserved in my opinion.  I never really thought it was a big deal (sorry mom) but now I TOTALLY understand.  Being a mom is hard.  No weekends off.  No sick days.  Until now!

This weekend was mostly filled with delicious food and fun time with my boys.  Unfortunately, Saturday evening I had a crazy high fever and felt pretty awful.  Tom did a great job hanging with the little man, taking him to church, bringing me Jamba Juice's "Cold-Buster" and kept the Advil coming.

We started the weekend with some Chick-fil-a after Tom's soccer game was rained out.
Tom teaches Cole a thing or two about Aggies and balls.

We took Cole to the pool! Still pretty cold.  Maybe this weekend it will be better.

Costco for lunch Saturday.  Our favorite $1.50 for hotdog and soda!

My Mother's Day gift will be weird to most of you, but its AWESOME! Tom and Cole gave me the "MyPillow" ... the only pillow I've owned that cost more than $10.  It's a miracle pillow! My parents always talk about theirs...they even took them to Italy.  haha! It's so squishy and maybe I have taken a few more naps that usual this week.  :)

Loved my first Mother's Day! Hopefully next year I will be healthy and enjoy my laziness.

Mexico!

Hola! We just got back from Mexico on Monday night.  We had SO. MUCH. FUN.  It was great to get away for a few days and hang out with Matt and Rachel.

We went to an all-inclusive called "El Dorado Royale" about 25 miles south of Cancun.  The beach had perfect sand and clear water, there were pools everywhere, and the food was awesome! We played 2-3 hours of volleyball during the day and ordered free room service every chance we got.  I also REALLY enjoyed sleep.  Sweet, uninterrupted sleep.  I haven't been that relaxed in maybe a year and a half?? Pre-pregnancy??  Crazy!

Cole seemed to do great without us.  My parents stayed with him the first two nights, and then Tom's parents drove in for the last two.  I don't think he realized we were gone until we got back.  His face was so funny when he saw us, and he's been a little clingy this week.  Silly boy.

Our "backyard" ... we loved having this private swim up area between the 4 of us.  So perfect!
Boys dominated the pool bball.
We dominated the reclining chairs.
Pretty beach.  Not sunbathing whales... Tom guessed it.

Room service is the best!
 So... Relaxed....

We had such a great time!!! Love these sweet friends so much!!!!!!!!
