Memorial Day in Austin

We made a quick and last minute trip to my parents' house for Memorial Day weekend.  We had a great time with them and Jean and Travis! We played cards, hung out outside, went for walks and to the park, Cole floated in the pool, we went out to eat and grilled out.  And we are so thankful for our troops that put everything on the line for our freedom.  Thank you Lord!

On the drive to Austin, Tom sat in the back to entertain Cole...which is harder these days for a mobile baby who hates to stay still! The last 45 minutes would have been rough...except Tom started putting one puff in a cup and Cole would try to get it out. He eventually became quite skilled.

Cole could stare at his Pops all day long. And the pool was WAY too cold.  Only Cole "swam."

Aunt Jean is more exciting than Uncle Teddy.

A friendship in progress..

Aunt Jean shows Cole his first iPad experience.  With a game for cats.

On the way home! Had a great time and came home with one more tooth!

  1. I'm glad Cole likes cats. He must have gotten that from me! If you can get something from meeting someone once when you were only weeks old...

  2. Of course I'm more exciting than Uncle Teddy! :) And I'll have to find an iPad game meant for kids...he was not into waiting for me to look one up and download it. Oh well, at least someone got to enjoy it!
